Call information

Completely resident managed, each class schedules their own call shifts. Front-loaded call system allows our residents to get up to speed quickly with "bread and butter" type exams and also allows for a lighter call schedule during Core Exam preparation. The call schedule for all residents taking the Core Exam is temporarily reduced in the months leading up to the test date. Call during the final year of residency is less frequent, allowing for more elective time/mini-fellowships. Most residents agree that our call system is one of our best attributes.

Work-life balance

We offer scheduling that helps you maintain work-life balance, splitting your energy between work and other important aspects of your life. Even when our residents aren't working, they still like to spend time together.

Away conference

Attendance at the American Institute for Radiologic Pathology (AIRP) four-week course in Silver Spring, MD, is expected of the radiology residents. The Department of Radiology provides registration, travel and lodging for the resident. The residency program coordinator arranges scheduling for this course. In most cases, residents attend this course during their R3 year.

Attendance of other conferences is encouraged.
